I really liked the book the only reason I'm giving it a 4 is because there are some mistakes threw out the books for example in Vengeance of a Viking they say Kodran is married they never introduced his wife and they never say if it was a joke but in the last book hes not married or mentioned him ever being married. But regardless the couple mistakes it was a wonderful book

Really enjoyed reading these stories of the MacLomain ancesters. I have several of the boxed sets of Sky's and so thoroughly enjoyed them. Sometimes I felt like I was right in the story with. Very good author and I recommend trying her books.

As usual, the author has given us more excitement in the Maclomain series! I've read the whole series at least 4 times now and still waiting on the newest Viking Series books to be available!

I love the entire MacLomain series. There are always interesting plot changes and unusual things happening throughout.

Each and every book in the MacLomain Series have been a can't put it down book. This part of the series was no different. Plan plenty of time set aside when you start a volume or you will be up all night

The stories were good and it was a fast read.

Just finished box set and could barely put it down to get to work! The world building, plots, characters all were extremely interesting. There are no throw away characters, you want to know more on all. I like all the techniques used to move the story forward and let you really feel a characters frustration, joy, fear, confusion while staying true to plot. Will now go buy her first series, catch up then read those after this one. Can’t wait to read about Sven & Emily.

I loved all the stories in the box set. Each story merged with the next so smoothly that it became difficult setting the book aside. I wanted to keep reading, and couldn't wait to find out what would happen next. It is full of surprising connections I would not have expected. Once you start with the first book of the series, trust me you will not be able to put it down until you reach the end of the last. It is full of magic, romance, and endings you would not see coming.

Gave this book as a gift, along with a piece of Roseville pottery, to a dear friend. She loves the book -- it has lots of information for someone just starting out collecting. Lovely pictures for the most part. There are so many books about Roseville that it would be great to buy them all but this one is good for the price; I didn't get it to give her actual values for my gift, and the book is a bit old so prices provided are not current. But it you like to admire lovely works of pottery, this is a lovely coffee table book.

If you are interested in Roseville Pottery this series of books can give you the information you need to review selections for consideration. Dollar values are included with great pictures. Easy to find items. You really need the complete series to evaluate the majority of pieces you may find.

I really didn't get much out of this book that I didn't already find by doing different internet searches but it was a little helpful.

I would rather have a more current edition of this book or the material in it but it was useful for my purpose.

This book is a great way to creatively teach and reinforce alphabet skills in young students. I only wish that the author could have chosen something different, almost anything else really, for letter "G". This page uses rocks that look like ghosted and they are on a black backdrop. One of them is truly scary for young kids and I had to improvise for that page, using "Gone. Letter G for gone. The page is gone!" It works, but I would love to have seen "grapes," "goldfish," "gumdrop." I can't imagine these would have been hard to find in rock form. Otherwise, wonderful book!

I read this to my kindergarteners every year--we all thoroughly enjoyed it! Warning: if you read this to your class, you will have students bringing you cool rocks for the rest of the year!

This book is a "must have" for every child's library. It's very creative and my kids love how the rocks are natural and we're found along the beach, one of their favorite places to be. I give it as a gift to friends when they have a baby and they always comment on how unique it is.

My daughter is learning her alphabets now, so she loves pointing at the rocks and saying what letter it is. I love how it stimulates the imagination - a rock version of "what does that cloud look like?" and encourages us to really notice our surroundings. I plan on using this book as a launching pad to encourage my kids to find things in nature that speak (sing) to them.

This book is truly a piece of art and unlike anything else. The author created this book showcasing stones she has collected over the years. The stones are in the shape of letters and for each, something that starts with that letter.We live near Lake Michigan and spend a lot of time collecting very similar looking stones. I bought this book for my four children, ages 7 and under, so they could be inspired in their own rock collecting and so that I could display it in my youngest son's lake/beach-theamed nursery.This book is beautifully done, and I would highly recommend.

I collect heart shaped rocks which are hard to find so this book spoke to my heart. It is a great book not because of what is says but because of the story behind finding each alphabet shaped rock. Very creative.

I have been using this book to share my love of rocks. I go to city recreation centers, libraries, and schools with my "rocks that look like other things" and this book. We read the book; I give them rocks, and we all have a blast looking for what else is there besides the rock. Often the "grownups" have to be helped to see "the other things" by the younger people whose imaginations soar. If you want to see smiles, share this book. (If you want to see yawns, go to "Y is for yawn" and open wide while you're reading. It never fails.) If you buy this book, I'm sure you will wear it out; it's that good.

This is such a unique and "fun to look at" book that I had to have my own copy. Of course, I realized that my grandchildren might find it interesting, too. When I handed the book to my son, who is 37 years old, I said that the author had spent years collecting rocks that looked like letters, enough for the whole alphabet. He, too, was amazed and said "I bet she shaped some of these herself." No, she really did collect these shapes from nature, and also the rock objects that have beginning letters, such as a "potato" for the letter "p". Certainly a book for all ages! Lots of visual fun!

I expected trade secrets, best how-to's, and overall explanations on how things can be done most efficiently.This was a book where each chapter discussed, for example, gave an action like "keeping positive," defined it for about 3-4 pages, and then gave a one paragraph real-life example of how one of their peers stayed positive during a hard time.It's not a bad book but not at all what I needed or wanted. I am a first time executive assistant for a government SES in an extremely high level office. I need something that packed serious information and how-to's. If that is what you're looking for then I recommend the"Administrative Assistant and Secretary's Handbook" by James Stroman. It was exactly what I needed.

I purchased the Kindle Edition and I'm so glad I did so I could read it instantly. I highly recommend this book if you are in Office Administration. You will find encouragement and laughs throughout this book.This is my second book purchase from Joan Burge's collection. She really knows this field.

Great tips and tricks and best practices that you make you think about how very important your projects, role and tasks are in the corporate hierarchy.
