Another excellent 'Death on Demand' novel entitled, "Dead by Midnight" by stellar author, Carolyn Hart has been published and I was past excited when the Post Office told me to come and get it!After reading another 5-star "The Uninvited Ghost" by E. J. Copperman, I was ready for more mystery. Ms. Hart always thrills one with multiple murders, not to mention, mental quizzes of past books I've devoured with my eyes.The slow economy has hit South Carolina, even our beloved Broward's Rock where Annie and Max Darling reside. Henny, a dear friend of the couple has a mission to help her friend who was recently discharged from her long-held position of Receptionist at a local law firm. The Wife/Co-Partner of the firm is being cruel and sending out untrue references on Hennys friend. Annie reluctantly hires Pat, the friend, only to be thrilled with her improvement in understanding Murder Mystery Books, to find Pat has either committed suicide or been murdered herself. Annie sets out to aid Henny in finding the truth.We, the reader, joins in the delightful, at times, pursuit of the culprits. Ms. Hart takes us through each step in Annie's and Max's search. You get to know each person involved and meanwhile enjoy the smells, sounds, tastes,and views of Broward's Rock. The ending is both satisfying and makes you desire to see what happens next!Oh, and I did guess 3 of the five posters...read it and see what I'm referring to.

I love this series. Each story is always fresh and new despite the main characters staying true to themselves and each other which might create the sense of boredom after so many installments. They easily become as old friends with whom you share their adventures. I love the settings and quirky folks around their island. The narrator is top notch and has done each of the stories I have listened to. Carolyn Hart is an author whose installments in the DEATH ON DEMAND series I wait for eagerly. Highly recommended by an avid listener, me.

This, in my opinion, is a thoroughly enjoyable, well written series. Not sure why anyone would love living on an island that seems to be overrun with bugs and alligators, but aside from that the characters are easy to relate to and the mysteries are intriguing. I prefer the stories that feature all the regular characters, especially Emma Clyde who is the island's famous resident mystery author.This particular book did not feature everyone, but I still enjoyed it. The fact that the main character, Annie Darling, runs a mystery bookstore, Death On Demand, is probably what attracted me initially to this series. I have not been disappointed.There is one problem, however. Many authors and book titles are mentioned in each story necessitating checking with Amazon to find out what they're about and sometimes ordering same. So, reader beware. There are many more mysteries in each book than the one Annie and her friends are trying to solve.

Again we meet the Darlings in a fun, interesting story of murder most foul, and intrigue. This is the first one, though, where I figured out who dunnit....I just didn't guess why. I love they way Ms Hart weaves in her tried and true characters, especially Laurel, the wacky mother-in-law and her wickedly funny cat posters. These books really would make a great TV series. Read them from the first and follow the lives of the residents of Broward's Rock. And hey mystery fans...Hart's book make a great source of tips of other mysteries that you might enjoy!

Carolyn Hart has three series and is the reigning Agatha Christy of mystery writers. Dead by Midnight has some interesting twists and turns and Annie and Max are in the middle of another island mystery. If you have not read Carolyn Hart, you'll quickly pick up on the characters and want to go back and read another book from her Death on Demand series.

The condition of the book was as expected. The content is kind of dated because of the version of AutoCAD that it was written to address. However the textbook is well written and very thorough. It is a good textbook for people of all levels.

AutoLisp is a very technically oriented programming language. Without some prior programming experience, this book would be very difficult to follow. For those of us who just wanted to brush up on already learned skills, it's a godsend. But newbies would do well to look elsewhere if they're just starting out.

This is hands down the best book on autolisp that I have found. I have read over ten different ones. Teaches about every command and just all around a great book. after having it checked out from the library for 2+ months I figured I should buy it. Great for beginners and as a reference. It has saved me countless hours in my drawings.

well written for the dying art of LISP code

This is book and the editions that followed are the best books on AutoLISP I have seen in twenty years. A must read for anyone dealing with the subject.

This was a good book to reference Autolisp commands with over the years.It is based on older versions but still applies for many uses.It has dcl commands in it as well, which can sometimes be useful!

If you like to learn Autocat more.

I guess I'm at fault for assuming the 30 day possible delivery was for products mailed outside the U.S.! The green in the store name isn't about recycling books, its for not using gas because they had to walk my book across the country!!

This book, and the others by Professor Togores, are the probably the only way to learn up-to-date Autocad, AutoLISP. It is important to study book's I & II first, to get the basics. I highly suggest watching his video series, "Lisp Your Mesh Into Shape," before trying the books. I had to go over the basic input concepts (what buttons to click) several times, before I was able get the code to start showing up as a graphic object. The videos really helped. It is important to download the online materials, and use them. All the codes are there, so the reader can go through the processes on the video, and in the books, step by step. Lisp was originally developed in 1958, check it out.

I'm programming Lisp in AutoCAD since 1988. That was the time that animals used to speak to each other. I know the evolution of AutoCAD and Lisp, the time we were excited that a “personal” computer could generate lines and circles. The very nice thing about all the Lisp-books of Mr Togores is that they give the overview of this history. It is absolutely necessary to understand the evolution in this language and to understand the evolution of AutoCAD itself, to start programming in Lisp. Some ways to program are much easier the old school, while others the new wave. This is well explained with a good reason "why"...I appreciate that there is no nonsense in these learning books. Each sentence is well thought of. Even for experienced programmers these books are useful, especially this part (Programming 3D). But also for beginning programmers in Lisp, these books – start with the first and second book – are very highly recommended.Amandus VanQuaille, architect

Following the chronology of Roosevelt's life, a positive picture emerges of the man and his family, his rise to fame, and his impact on history. Activities include making a journal, building a diorama, “hunting” with a camera, and even making a dessert based on Roosevelt's insult that McKinley had “no more backbone than a chocolate éclair.” The projects are interesting and accessible, with cautions to keep an adult nearby when necessary. Numerous black-and-white photos, insets, political cartoons, and illustrations break the text into manageable and interesting bits. A note to Roosevelt's football-player son admonishing him to not sacrifice his studies for the game sounds like any parent. But the president was able to take his concerns further when he invited representatives from Harvard, Yale, and Princeton to the White House to create a new set of rules resulting in the game as we know it today. And while kids may enjoy the chatty interactive tone, they likely won't have the background to fully grasp the details about political campaigning and foreign policy, which seemed aimed at a much older audience. What works best here is the lively account of Roosevelt's progressive campaigns for fair pay, restrictions on child labor, control of big business, and his pioneer role in conservation, including his efforts to save the Grand Canyon. Theodore Roosevelt for Kids is a well-researched biography of the 26th president of the United States. The book begins with a time line of the president's life. The subsequent chapters tell the story of his life from his asthma-inflicted boyhood to his death at the age of sixty-one.Author, Kerrie Logan Hollihan, did an excellent job not only in researching the life of Theodore Roosevelt, but also in making the book an interesting read. It is definitely not a boring history book. There are plenty of photographs of the president, as well as pictures from that period in history. A fun feature for kids, is the 21 activities that are included. These are easy-to-do, and definitely related to the life and times of Theodore Roosevelt. Some of my personal favorites are making a "pigskin notebook," making a delicious dessert called "Old Insult," and making a campaigne button.Theodore Roosevelt for Kids is an excellent resource for kids and teachers who are doing research on the president. It is also an excellent book for anyone wishing to learn more about Theodore Roosevelt. I highly recommend this book for readers age nine through adult.

With a crazy kid around (ADHD, high energy, rebellious), adults can be at a loss. As a lover of presidents, I immediately equated this child with Teddy Roosevelt- "Get Action!". For a positive impactful way to spend time with your energetic and curious child, look no further than this hilarious, interesting, historically rich book of Teddy Roosevelt activities! We love the facial recognition experiement, the taxidermy/birding information, and the theme that you don't have to conform to be great... indeed, you have to be yourself.

The book was wonderful for teaching about Theodore Roosevelt. Unfortunately I was unable to get many of the pages to appear correctly on either my Kindle Fire or my PC with the viewer. The timeline shots did not fit properly and other images also were extremely clumsy to view.
